What is listing.company?: A B2B directory of 155,835,563+ verified businesses across 133 countries, with built-in cross-language messaging and Trade Assurance escrow for first-time deals.
Why is my business already in there?: Because European business records are public — we built the directory from official company registries (UK Companies House, German OffeneRegister, French INSEE-SIRENE, Czech ARES, Italian Camere di Commercio, etc.) plus OpenStreetMap and public-web crawl. We don't sell that data; we let it be searched.
What's in it for listing.company?: Pro listings (€19/mo per business), Sales API subscriptions (€199/mo), Trade Assurance take-rate (1.5% on platform-brokered orders), Concierge subscriptions, white-label deals.
Are you EU-only?: No. EU-first because that's where compliance and registries are densest. But the directory has 133 countries and crawls expand monthly.

How do I claim my listing?: Search for your business, click "Claim", verify a 6-digit code sent to your registered email. Full guide.
What if my listing has wrong information?: Claim it (free), then edit in the profile editor. Audit log keeps the change history. Wrong-and-not-yours info: report it via the listing page, we triage and override after evidence.
What happens if I don't pay for Pro?: Free is forever. You stay in the directory, you can be contacted, you can accept Trade Assurance orders. You just don't get featured placement, gallery, or concierge agent.
Do I have to use Trade Assurance?: No. You can take orders off-platform if a buyer offers — but then listing.company can't protect either side and the trade doesn't count toward your verified-trades count or reviews.

What does it cost me to use listing.company?: Searching and contacting: €0. Trade Assurance: €0 from you (seller pays the take-rate). Stripe card processing fee passes through.
Can I trust businesses I find here?: Each listing shows: claimed status (the owner has verified ownership), verified-purchaser reviews, response-time average, accepted-Trade-Assurance status. Trust is signal-based, not blanket.
What if I want to talk on the phone instead?: Phone numbers are listed when public. We don't mediate phone calls. The advantage of staying on-platform: cross-language chat is instant, the dispute trail exists if you need it later.

Is there an API?: Four of them: Search, Places, Sales, Concierge. See pricing and endpoints.
Where is listing.company hosted?: EU only — Hetzner data centers in Germany and Finland. No US subprocessors for any user-content path.
Can I self-host listing.company?: Mnemo (our memory engine) is open source on GitHub and self-hostable for free. The full listing.company stack including AI models is closed; on-prem deployment is available as Enterprise contract.
